On My Way to the Rock

I'm about to be sent to Little Rock on an ambulance to UAMS because my platelet count has dropped. Please pray that if they decide they have to deliver Brynlee that she is born alive! Also, pray they are able to treat her and keep her alive!

Update

I am currently in ER at Willow Creek for the second time this week due to pain from the fluid, which measured 35! Therefore they are going to remove some around 5:00. This should allow me to be able to move around more without being in so much pain. Then, I'll be able to go back home. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying hearing Brynlee's beautiful heartbeat!

UPDATE:

The procedure was scarier than I thought it would be. It took 45 minutes, and they took off two liters! Now, I have to pray for a safe recovery for the next two days and that the fluid doesn't build back up. Thank you so much for all of your prayers!

Four More Weeks

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurable more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." Ephesians 5:6

Today, we learned that the cystic hygroma has grown and the hydrops have increased. This is not the news I was wanting, but I was relieved to find out that her heart still looks good and the blood flow in her brain is still good.

The doctor I spoke with today from UAMS wants me to get to 28 weeks. I'm at 24 weeks now. He said there is a chance that she could be born alive if I make it to 28 weeks. From there, maybe there will be other options for how to keep her alive! This fills my heart with joy!!!

So, we are praying Brynlee stays strong for four more weeks and for God's mighty workmanship to be displayed.

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10

Throughout this entire process, I have prayed for God's glory to be displayed. I must tell you that His glory has been displayed because SHE IS STILL HERE, God has blessed me with peace, and so many of you have been constantly been praying for me, sending me messages of hope, and blessing me in numerous ways at school.

"Don't be afraid; just believe, and [Brynlee] will be healed."
Thank you so much for your prayers.

BTW: Look at how big I am, and I'm just 24 weeks!

We are ready for these next four weeks, and we expect great things!

The ultrasound has been rescheduled for tomorrow, so I'll let you know how it goes. Hopefully, the fluid is going down.

Strength, Hope, and Love

It's strange to me how I can talk about my situation so seemingly easily, yet I KNOW it's because of you and your prayers.

After December 14th, I told my mom I was concerned about how I would feel once the prayers stopped, and I must tell you the prayers have not stopped! God has carried me through this entire journey every step of the way.

"The Lord is my strength and my song." Psalm 118:14

I did get some genetic results back (1 of 3), and once again they were perfectly normal! 46 XX AMEN!

They said all results could come back and be normal, and I know God knows the results, all things work for His good, and God will be glorified triumphantly in Brynlee's life no matter what!

I'm believing with all my heart this fluid is going to go 100% away, leave no damage, and she will be born perfectly healthy in June of 2013!

My wonderful mother-in-law gave this to Lilianna
at her birthday party on December 2, 2012.

I see it like this according to 1 Corinthians 3:6-9: God is just watering her, I'm building her, we both have a purpose, and God will make her grow!

You know my God is pretty awesome! I couldn't imagine how this journey would feel without him.

He is my alpha and omega, the beginning to the end!

That's my King! I absolutely love and cherish this message from Dr. S.M. Lockridge in 1976.

As I continue this journey, my hope is in The Lord. He knows the desires of my heart.

"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone, my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken." Psalm 62:5-6

Thank you for praying that this fluid goes away. I have an ultrasound on Tuesday, so I will know more then.

Please pray for my husband, mom, and mother-in-law. I do worry about them because I love them so much.

Also, please pray for Dr. Gorman, my genetic counselors (Noelle and Shannon), and all the doctors in Little Rock who have been so kind to me. They have answered numerous questions that I have asked over and over again, and I know my questioning can be annoying, so they deserve some blessings at least for that! :)

Last, thank you for all of your love, prayers, and support. I truly know what it means to be held.

"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends." 1 Corinthians 13:7-8

Closing Prayer: By LaNell Miller from C.O.T.R. Texarkana
I pray that from Your glorious, unlimited resources you would empower me with Your inner strength through Your Holy Spirit. Make Your home in my heart as I trust in you. Let my roots grow down deep in Your love and keep me strong. May I have the power to understand how wide, how long, how high, and how deep Your love is for me. Help Brynlee to be made complete (whole) with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Lord, You are able to accomplish infinitely more thank I could ever ask or even imagine, and this is the power that is at work within me. I give You all glory. Amen (Ephesians. 3:16-20)

Love,
Kim

Thank You Harp Elementary!

I want to send a very special thank you to my Harp Elementary family. You have gone above and beyond to  make this journey less stressful for me and Jamie. To each of you who blessed us, I pray God greatly blesses you in return. I have been absolutely overwhelmed by your generosity. I work at the best school in the world, and I'm so honored to know each of you and be able to call you my friends.

Lots of Love,
Kim

Friday Update

Her heart doesn't appear to be causing the problem. It looks good right now, and they will look at it again in four weeks. They still don't know what could be the problem. Fluid has increased around her body. The hygroma has only increased a little. They will do more tests, and I'll get some results in two weeks and some in a month. Right now, they think she'll be ok for two more weeks. Overall, they still feel she has a 10% chance of being born alive. Also, because my amniotic fluid is pretty high and I've been having contractions, they want me to try to stay off of my feet more. That's not easy to do with a two year old, but I'll do my best! :)

As for me, my strength comes from the Lord.

I did see her in 4D, and she is beautiful!

I go back to LR in 4 weeks.

Thank you for all the prayers!

Kim
